Black board
In many homes where there is excess humidity or poor ventilation, there are black spots on the walls (bathrooms, corners of external walls, upstairs ceilings, etc.) that tend to return again and again after cleaning.
Not every mould may yet be a particular health risk Stachybotrys chartarum . This can only be determined by laboratory analysis. But it is unpleasant and needs to be controlled.
How it happens: Mould spores are in the air all the time. Once they are in a favourable environment, they will thrive.
Damage caused: Some moulds(Stachybotrys chartarum) can be downright dangerous, but most simply affect our quality of life. Increased concentration of fungal mycoses in the air is often the cause of allergic symptoms (frequent coughing, shortness of breath, sleep disturbances, night-time thirst…).
Most common faults: poor ventilation, excessive humidity
Frequency of eradications: in most cases, several eradications are needed.
